This year’s Super Bowl, played on February 8th on NBC between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in California, is causing HBO to adjust its TV schedule. The game, a long-standing tradition since 1967, starts at 6:30 PM Eastern Time and typically draws over 120 million viewers. This massive audience significantly reduces the number of people watching other shows, so networks like HBO need to make changes to their programming for the evening.
According to Deadline, HBO has shifted the release dates of two episodes to avoid conflicting with the Super Bowl. The fourth episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and the fifth episode of Industry Season 4 will now premiere on Friday, February 6th. This decision is likely due to the strong viewership numbers that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has already achieved.
The new series, featuring actors Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell, returns to the world of Westeros with the story of an unlikely friendship. It follows Ser Duncan ‘Dunk’ the Tall, a young knight, and his apprentice, Aegon ‘Egg’ Targaryen, as they compete in their first jousting tournament and encounter various noble families. The first season is based on George R.R. Martin’s novella, The Hedge Knight, with future seasons planned to adapt The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight. Excitingly, Martin has also shared outlines for twelve more stories about Dunk and Egg, offering potential for even more episodes.
Super Bowl Adverts Can Still Produce Gold

Alliance Films
Super Bowl ads aren’t as impactful as they once were, with more people streaming shows instead of watching traditional TV. However, big-name actors are still interested in appearing in commercials if the idea is creative and stands out. For example, Adrien Brody, who has won two Oscars, will be in a TurboTax commercial this weekend, using his acting skills to create a funny spot.
TurboTax had a really clever idea! The whole concept of tax season being so stressful and dramatic, and then me, as an actor who loves drama, being unable to play that role because TurboTax makes taxes simple and easy, is just really funny and relatable.
It’s really enjoyable to playfully challenge the idea that I’m a serious, intense actor. It’s freeing to show people a different side of myself. A lot of people assume that actors who do a lot of dramatic work don’t have a sense of humor, but I love comedy and I especially love being able to laugh at myself.
While many know him from films like The Pianist, The Brutalist, or The Village, Adrien Brody has also frequently collaborated with directors Wes Anderson and Rian Johnson throughout his career.
