Hazbin Hotel features a diverse group of original characters, brought to life by a skilled voice cast. The show is an adult animated comedy, inspired by Vivienne Medrano’s popular webcomic of the same name, and boasts a truly unique setting: Hell. Given that Hazbin Hotel is also a musical, the creators brought in Broadway talent like Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, and Krystina Alabado to provide the singing voices.
Vivienne Medrano, also known as VivziePop, originally shared her Hazbin Hotel story through webcomics. She then created a pilot episode which she released on YouTube in 2019. A24 ordered a full TV series in August 2020, and Hazbin Hotel officially premiered in January 2024. Now, season 2 is here, continuing to deliver the show’s signature blend of comedy, musical numbers, LGBTQ+ characters, and talented voice actors.

She’s also lent her voice to other popular characters, including General Sweet Mayhem in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) and Chloe Barbash in The Bob’s Burgers Movie (2022).
Beatriz voices the character Vaggie in Hazbin Hotel, who is Charlie’s loyal girlfriend. Vaggie is much more practical and grounded than Charlie, incredibly protective, and very strong. Despite her tough exterior, she has a kind heart.

He’s a flamboyant and eccentric former porn star who, despite his resistance to change, is ultimately touched by Charlie’s efforts.

Alastor, a character from Hazbin Hotel, is a very powerful ruler in Hell, often called the Radio Demon. He’s incredibly charming and skilled at making people believe he’s an ally – a tactic he uses on Charlie. However, his true motives are anything but good.
Keith David As Husk

- Active Since: 1977
Keith David, an Emmy Award-winning actor and narrator, has been working in the entertainment industry since the 1970s. Beyond film, David has provided voice work for numerous television series, including Gargoyles, Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, Pluto, and most recently, Hazbin Hotel.
I’m really fascinated by David’s role as Husk in Hazbin Hotel. He plays this wonderfully grumpy magician who’s basically a bartender, and he’s hilarious! Husk is the perfect counterpoint to Charlie’s relentlessly positive attitude – a real comedic foil. But what’s so clever is that beneath all the cynicism, there’s a surprisingly complex backstory that adds a lot of depth to his character. It’s not just a one-note grumpy guy at all!

Niffty, voiced by Glenn, is a cheerful, one-eyed demon from the 1950s who works as the incredibly energetic cleaning lady at the Hazbin Hotel. She’s a delightfully unexpected resident of Hell.

Date Of Birth: February 5, 1987
- Active Since: 1998

As a huge fan of musical theatre, I was thrilled to discover Jessica Vosk voices Lute in Hazbin Hotel! You might recognize her – she was fantastic as Elphaba in Wicked a few years back. In the show, Lute is this powerful exorcist who basically stands in the way of Charlie trying to redeem demons.
Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, a Broadway veteran known for her work in shows like Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Beetlejuice, and Spamalot, voices the character of Rosie in Hazbin Hotel. Rosie is one of the powerful Overlords of Hell in the show.
James Monroe Iglehart, a Tony Award winner famous for creating the role of the Genie in Broadway’s Aladdin, plays Zelestial. He’s also appeared in the 2022 film Disenchanted and various television shows. In this production, Iglehart portrays Zelestial, a demon who is close to Lucifer.
Don Darryl Rivera voices the character of Travis in Hazbin Hotel. He’s known for his work as the original Iago in the Broadway version of Disney’s Aladdin. In Hazbin Hotel, Travis is a taxi driver who often drives to porn studios.
I was so excited to find out Darren Criss, who I loved as Blaine on Glee, is voicing Saint Peter in Hazbin Hotel! He plays such an important character – basically, one of the big bosses in Heaven, and he’s in charge of the keys to everything up there. It’s a really cool role for him!
