Having trouble changing language in Dying Light: The Beast? There is a solution

Techland’s new expansion, Dying Light: The Beast, is out now and is receiving mostly positive feedback. As of this writing, 94% of Steam reviews are positive. Gamepressure’s Darius Matusiak praised the game’s combat, stating it’s currently the best around and that Dying Light continues to raise the standard for zombie games. While the launch hasn’t been perfect – some players are experiencing issues with ray tracing and crashes, which the developers are addressing – it’s generally a strong release. We also have a guide available if you’re wondering how to change the game’s language.

How to change the language in Dying Light: The Beast. You can’t do it in-game

You might have noticed that there’s no language setting within the game itself for *Dying Light: The Beast*. While you can toggle subtitles on or off, changing the game’s language requires you to exit to the main menu.

If you’re playing on Steam, first close the game. Then, in your Steam library, right-click on *Dying Light: The Beast* and select ‘Properties’. Go to the ‘General’ tab. You should find a ‘Language’ setting with a drop-down menu where you can choose your preferred language. After selecting it, a small update will download. Once that’s finished, you can launch the game again.

If you’re playing on a console, you might need to adjust your system language. The exact steps will differ depending on your console, but usually you can find the language settings within the System Settings menu. From there, you should be able to select your preferred language.
