The British actor’s first directorial venture, “Urchin,” currently under post-production, is set to appear at the European Film Market in Berlin. Sales for the movie will be handled by Charades, while Gersh and UTA Independent Film Group share representation duties in the United States.

As a movie lover, I’m excited to share that in this upcoming film, I have the pleasure of watching Frank Dillane, known for his roles in “Harvest” and “Fear the Walking Dead,” take on the character Mike. Megan Northam, who has captivated audiences in “Rabia” and “Meanwhile on Earth,” will also be joining the cast alongside Amr Waked, Karyna Khymchuk, and Shonagh Marie.

As a cinephile, I’m excited to share that “Urchin” is a production by Archie Pearch for Devisio Pictures, alongside Scott O’Donnell for Somesuch. This masterpiece was developed by the prestigious BBC Film and is generously financed by BBC Film, BFI, and Tricky Knot. The executive producers on this project are Eva Yates, Ama Ampadu, Alexandra Tynion, and Olivia Tyson. The magic happened in the vibrant backdrop of East London during filming.

Pearch, co-founder of Devisio with Dickinson back in 2024, praised Urchin as a groundbreaking debut for Harris, both as a writer and director. He finds Harris to be a fearless filmmaker who injects rawness and a unique perspective into his work. The movie mirrors Harris’s strong personal involvement with these matters and his continued efforts within the community. Frank Dillane offers an incredibly moving and humorously surprising portrayal, making this film a standout.
