Okay, so this is pretty cool. Microsoft and Halo Studios actually let a fan make a game inspired by Halo – it’s called Spartan Survivors! I thought that was awesome, and now it’s finally available on Steam. The developer, Bathrobe, just announced it, and I’m definitely checking it out.
Great news! Spartan Survivors is now available to download on Steam, and it’s free! Play the game, share it with your friends, and enjoy! 🔥

Spartan Survivors is available to play for free on Steam, a requirement set when Halo Studios approved the project. They also asked for a legal notice on the game’s Steam page and in the credits, clarifying that it’s not an official Halo game and isn’t connected to Halo Studios or Microsoft.
Okay, so I’ve been playing this incredible game, and it’s seriously awesome! It’s a roguelike shooter – think Halo meets Bullet Heaven. You get to play as either Master Chief or the Arbiter, and you’re basically fighting endless waves of Covenant and Flood. Right now, it’s only on PC, but the creators have said they’re working on bringing it to Xbox Series X|S, which I’m super excited about!
Halo Studios announced a reimagined version of the original Halo, called Halo: Campaign Evolved, at the Halo World Championships. This marks the first time a Halo game will be available on PlayStation 5. The studio also confirmed that all future Halo games will be playable on multiple platforms.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2026. To celebrate Halo’s 25th anniversary next year, Microsoft will host a Halo Fest event in Seattle in December 2026.
