The first update for Hades II is now available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games). It includes improvements to the game’s true ending, along with other enhancements.
I’m so excited this update is finally here! We got to try it out on Steam a little while ago, but now it’s officially live on Switch, Switch 2, and Steam too. The team at Supergiant Games wants to thank everyone who’s been playing Hades II! We’ve been thrilled to see so many players exploring beyond the Underworld since the v1.0 launch, and we appreciate all your feedback – it’s been a huge help during development and continues to guide us. This update includes several improvements we previously shared, along with a few extra fixes.
Highlights
We’ve expanded the True Ending with new scenes both before and after the original conclusion. To achieve it, you’ll now need to complete more Underworld challenges. We’ve also reworked and added to the main True Ending scenes themselves. Most of these changes are focused on the Underworld path, while the Surface path and Epilogue remain largely the same.
You can now use a new Cauldron spell to go back to important moments in the story, letting you revisit key events or even try for the True Ending again.
We’ve sped up how quickly certain character prophecies – including the one that impacts the story’s ending – come true. This means you’ll see these events happen sooner than before.
The Crossroads Renewal update features lower prices for many decorative items when purchasing with Kudos. If you previously spent more Kudos on these items, you’ll receive a refund for the difference.
