Following a successful early access phase, accompanied by some final updates, Hades 2 is all set for its complete debut. During Nintendo’s Direct presentation in September, it was revealed that Hades 2 will digitally drop for both Switch 2 and the original Switch on September 25. Initially, it will be a console-exclusive for the Switch for a certain period, but simultaneously, it will also release on Steam and the Epic Games Store on the same day.
A physical version of Hades 2 for Switch 2 will arrive on November 20.
For approximately a year now, Hades 2 has been in an early access phase, enriching its content significantly and refining its gameplay through multiple significant updates since May 2024. Initially, the early release presented a wealth of features for gamers, but subsequent updates and fixes have significantly enhanced the game by introducing exciting additions such as unexplored territories, additional weapons to grasp, and endearing creatures to enlist.
The upcoming game will be released on Xbox and PlayStation as well, but it’s scheduled to debut first on the Switch 2 as a temporary console exclusive. On the Switch 2 in TV mode, Hades 2 will operate smoothly at 1080p with an impressive frame rate of 120fps. In handheld mode, the game will maintain a resolution of 1080p and provide a frame rate of 60fps for smooth gameplay.
