Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein Is Getting Two Premium Companion Books

Guillermo del Toro, a celebrated storyteller, has finally brought his version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to Netflix, with a limited release in theaters as well. For fans of the film, two new books are on the way. On October 28th, ‘Frankenstein: Written and Directed by Guillermo del Toro’ will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie. Then, on November 25th, ‘Frankenstein: The Complete Screenplay’ will be released as a hardcover edition, featuring the full script plus additional content.

Mary Shelley’s classic novel, Frankenstein, originally published in 1818, is still widely read today. A new edition tied to the Netflix film is coming out on October 28th. This paperback version, titled Frankenstein – Netflix Tie-in Edition, features new cover art inspired by Guillermo del Toro’s movie and will cost $18. You can preorder it now on Amazon.

If you’d like a hardcover copy, several options are available. The most notable is the new Frankenstein: MinaLima Edition, releasing on October 28th. This special edition book costs $45 and includes brand-new cover art, illustrations throughout, and seven interactive features—like a fold-out map and diary pages. You can preorder it on Amazon. MinaLima also creates beautifully designed, interactive hardcover editions of other classic stories—including titles fans of Guillermo del Toro, such as Pinocchio, might appreciate.

You can also find three different hardcover editions of Frankenstein. They include a Deluxe Illustrated Classics Edition currently priced at $23.36 (originally $40), a Deluxe Painted Edition for $15.79 (originally $35), and a $15 Deluxe Hardbound Edition.
