Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities Hardcover Book Is 25% Off

Guillermo del Toro, the director behind visually stunning films like Pan’s Labyrinth and Pacific Rim, has a unique and recognizable style. If you’re curious about how he develops his ideas, his book Guillermo del Toro: Cabinet of Curiosities – My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions offers a fascinating look inside his creative process. A newly reissued edition, originally released in October, is currently on sale at Amazon for $45 (reduced from $60) for a limited time, making it a great holiday gift for any fan.

This offer is for the latest 2025 version of Cabinet of Curiosities, but the original 2013 edition is still available on Amazon for $64. The content is nearly the same in both books, although the older copy may not be in perfect condition after being stored in the Amazon warehouse for 12 years. We suggest getting this version only if the 2025 edition is no longer available, but it’s good to know it’s an option.

Guillermo del Toro’s newest film is a retelling of the classic Frankenstein story, now streaming on Netflix. Oscar Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein, and Jacob Elordi stars as the creature he brings to life. For those interested in the making of the movie, a behind-the-scenes book, Frankenstein: Written and Directed by Guillermo del Toro, is available for $75. You can also purchase the full screenplay, complete with concept art and photos from the set, for $21 on Amazon (originally $30).

Beyond his films, Guillermo del Toro has also written a number of books, covering everything from original stories to behind-the-scenes looks at his movie-making process. He’s especially known for his Strain trilogy, co-written with Chuck Hogan, which offered a fresh take on vampire lore. This series was later turned into a TV show with 46 episodes, airing from 2014 to 2017. See below for more of del Toro’s books.
