I’m so excited to hear that Gremlins 3 is really happening! It’s been a long time coming – I remember hearing about a possible sequel way back in 2017, and there have been little bits of news here and there over the years. Now, Warner Bros. has confirmed it’s still in development, and they’ve even brought on a director who’s worked on the Harry Potter films! They’re aiming for a release sometime in January 2025, which feels like a long way off, but I can’t wait!
According to Variety, Gremlins 3 is scheduled to come out in November 2027. Chris Columbus, who directed the first two Harry Potter films, will be directing and producing. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced the release timeframe during a recent investor call, and Steven Spielberg will return as an executive producer.
More to come…
