Green Lantern Who Made His DCU Debut Last Year Just Got a New Suit

DC Comics is giving one of its Green Lanterns – who appeared in a DC Universe movie last year – a fresh start. A sneak peek at the upcoming Green Lantern Corps #14 reveals the character will get a new uniform and a new role after recent storylines in the comics.

Green Lantern Corps. #14 shows new Guy Gardner suit

In the latest issue of Green Lantern Corps (#14), other Green Lanterns on Oa are shown worshipping Guy Gardner. A preview reveals that, following the events of DC K.O., Guy Gardner has gained new power and is now being revered as the ‘Allsight’ by his fellow Lanterns.

After a large-scale cosmic battle called the King Omega tournament, Guy Gardner underwent a powerful change. Superman distributed his King Omega power to other heroes, and Gardner received Alpha Energy as a result. This transformation turned him into a being known as the “Allsight,” a significant development within the Green Lantern universe, as shown in Green Lantern Corps #14.

Guy Gardner is getting a fresh look and a new status in the DC Universe. He’s sporting green robes and his original bowl cut, and now has a temple on Oa where Lanterns from different groups honor him. The story reveals he can sense all the powerful Emotional Entities that fuel the Lantern rings.

With this newfound power, Gardner creates a team of Lanterns to find and safeguard vulnerable emotional beings throughout the universe. This team will focus on entities like Parallax, who embodies yellow fear, and Ion, representing the green energy of willpower. The plan is to bring these beings back to Oa, where the Lantern Corps and their partners can keep them safe.

As a big DC fan, I’ve been really excited to see Guy Gardner getting more and more screen time! It makes total sense that his story is developing now, especially since Nathan Fillion debuted as him in the new ‘Superman’ movie coming out in 2025. We even got a quick peek at his version of Gardner in season two of ‘Peacemaker,’ and Fillion himself has confirmed he’ll be back for the ‘Lanterns’ series, which is slated to hit TV in 2026. It’s great to see that character getting such a consistent presence across these projects.
