Green Arrow’s new Absolute costume may be the DC character’s coolest look ever.

DC Comics revealed yesterday that a new “Absolute Green Arrow” limited series is coming soon, created by Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque. Even though Oliver Queen died in the Absolute Universe at the hands of Hawkman, this series will start to explain the mysteries surrounding his death that fans have been wondering about.

What does Absolute Green Arrow’s costume look like?

DC Comics recently announced a new limited series called Absolute Green Arrow and shared the first images of the hero’s updated look. The costume includes a mask with bright, glowing red eyes. You can see it below.

The new Absolute Green Arrow miniseries centers around a killer targeting and murdering corrupt billionaires, leaving a green arrow stuck in each victim. Dinah Lance, the Black Canary, is brought in to solve the case, and her investigation leads her to a list of DC’s most dangerous archers – each with a connection to the late Oliver Queen. This dark, urban horror story reimagines the Green Arrow’s legend and is created by award-winning creators Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque.

The big question now is who is the Green Arrow. With Oliver seemingly dead, it’s possible someone else has taken on the role – Roy Harper is a likely candidate. Others think Oliver might have survived, or even come back as something like a zombie. It’s also uncertain whether this new Green Arrow is a hero or if they’ll end up being a villain.

The first issue of Absolute Green Arrow will have cover art by Albuquerque, and variant covers by artists Gerald Parel, Guillem March, Reiko Murakami, and Tula Lotay. It’s scheduled to come out on May 20, 2026.
