Nacon and Spiders have revealed that their role-playing game, GreedFall 2: The Dying World, will be released on PC and consoles in March.
The release date for GreedFall 2: The Dying World is March 12th, as shown in a new trailer. The game has been available in Early Access for about a year and a half and will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Since its launch in September 2024, GreedFall 2 has been improved with several updates, adding new characters, missions, and story details. These updates also included a crafting system and a new skill tree. Now, the developers, Spiders and Nacon, believe the game is nearly finished and ready for release.

However, many Steam players don’t agree with the initial positive impressions. GreedFall 2 currently has a Mixed rating based on over 500 reviews since its Early Access release, and recent feedback suggests players are encountering significant bugs, incomplete features, and performance issues that are hindering their experience.
It’s likely that Spiders and Nacon can address the problems with GreedFall 2 before its March release. With two months still to go, they should have enough time to fix at least the most serious issues.
Since Spiders experienced layoffs last July, the studio is now smaller than it was when GreedFall 2 was released. Keep this in mind if you’re planning to buy the game on PS5 or Xbox – it might be best to adjust your expectations.
Despite being called GreedFall 2: The Dying World, this game is actually a prequel to the 2019 RPG GreedFall. If you haven’t heard of it, it continues the story, but goes back in time.
So, in GreedFall 2, I’m playing as one of the native people of Teer Fradee this time around. It’s still dealing with themes of colonialism and how people get exploited, but this time I’m right in the middle of it, trying to survive and navigate all the political stuff happening in this new open world called Gacane. Plus, there’s a ton of dangerous wildlife to watch out for!
You can now play GreedFall 2: The Dying World on PC through Steam Early Access. It will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 12th. Keep an eye out for future updates!
