Gotcha Gotcha Games has been slowly releasing the Heavy Spoilers RPG series on Steam and DLSite for PC. A unique feature of these games is that character names contain obvious clues about plot twists.
The free RPG, Heavy Spoilers RPG, launched on Steam on June 6th. The game first came out in Japan in April 2023, and the Steam version now includes an English translation. A major plot twist is that the final boss is revealed to be the hero’s father.
Gotcha Gotcha Games pointed out that the game has been viewed over 25 million times through “Let’s Play” videos. A quick search on YouTube confirms this, showing gameplay from popular Vtubers – many of these videos have hundreds of thousands of views, despite the game being created with pre-made character art from RPG Maker MV.

KSB Games has just launched the sequel to their game, Heavy Spoilers RPG 2: Your best friend is actually the great demon king, on Steam. Unlike the original, which is free to play, this new installment is a paid game. The game was initially funded through a crowdfunding campaign and was first released in Japanese on BOOTH last December 14th.
The Heavy Spoilers RPG 2 game is now available, but currently only in Japanese and Korean, despite having English descriptions and some localized character names on its Steam page. Besides Steam, you can also find the game on DLSite and the RPG Maker Official Store, which will offer Steam keys.
