I really enjoyed Season 1 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters – the cast was amazing! Anna Sawai, Wyatt and Kurt Russell, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm all did fantastic work. I’m so excited for Season 2, and I’m especially thrilled they’re adding Amber Midthunder, who was incredible in Prey!
Apple TV+ announced a second season of ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,’ praising the show’s impact on viewers and the talent of its cast and crew. Morgan Wandell of Apple TV+ shared with Variety that they’re thrilled to bring more exciting stories to fans, and to continue expanding the Monsterverse franchise with new adventures.
Chris Black and Matt Fraction developed ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ and oversee it as showrunners and executive producers. Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville, and Jen Roskind are also executive producers on the series.
I’m really excited to hear they’re expanding the Monsterverse with more spin-off shows! One project I’m particularly looking forward to is a prequel series about Lee Shaw – the character Wyatt Russell played in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. It’ll be awesome to see his backstory and how he became the person we met in the show.
