God Of War Composer Says He Could Return To The Series

Bear McCreary, the composer for God of War, has indicated he’s open to working on future installments, even though he previously felt his contribution to the series was finished.

So, IGN asked me if I’d ever consider going back to work on the game, and I told them I’d definitely be up for it – especially if it meant we could really build on what we started and add even more to it.

I’m so excited to hear about the new God of War show coming to Prime Video! And it sounds like they’re still planning on making more games too, which is awesome. I really hope Bear McCreary, the composer from the games, gets asked to work on both – his music is incredible, and it would be amazing to have him involved in everything going forward.

The composer expressed his pride in the music he created for the God of War games, noting that the games are incredibly detailed and loved by players.

Besides his work on the God of War games, Bear McCreary is actively seeking new and exciting projects and collaborators. He’s particularly eager to contribute to an independent or smaller-budget (AA) game, believing these projects often allow for more creative freedom and experimentation – something he’s passionate about and is openly expressing his interest in.

The 46-year-old composer has received three Grammy nominations and is well-known for his scores on popular TV series like Outlander, The Walking Dead, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He’s also composed music for films including Happy Death Day, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
