Next month, PlayStation will release a special, limited-edition DualSense controller inspired by the game God of War. Unveiled at the recent State of Play event, the controller’s design takes inspiration from Kratos’ iconic omega tattoo. You can preorder this special PS5 controller starting October 3rd at PlayStation Direct and other major stores. It will officially launch on October 23rd.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, God of War will have a limited-edition DualSense controller released in October, as one of four special designs. On October 2nd, two versions of the Ghost of Yotei DualSense controller will be available. Both feature white designs with detailed artwork, and you can choose between black or gold detailing. The black version will only be sold at PlayStation Direct, while the gold version will be available at most stores that sell PlayStation products.
PlayStation is releasing a new version of its Astro Bot DualSense controller. This updated model, called the Joyful Edition, is white and blue and features Astro’s smiling eyes – a change from last year’s version which showed Astro with wide-open eyes. The Joyful Edition launches on October 30th and is available for pre-order now at most retailers.
PlayStation teamed up with Dark Horse Comics earlier this year to create a beautiful two-part look back at the history of the God of War series. The collection is available as a standard hardcover set or a Deluxe Edition, and both come with a protective slipcase. Each set includes 320 pages filled with artwork and insights from the creators of the popular God of War games.
