Qiongjiu

Including Qiongjiu in your team composition is crucial due to her high potential for additional damage, particularly during the late-game when enemies have substantial health. What’s more, Qiongjiu deals damage that splits between Physical and Burn, allowing her to effectively chip away at even the most robust opponents.

Suomi

Although labeled primarily as a Support character, Suomi is equally adept at dishing out substantial damage. Interestingly, the higher Suomi’s defense points, the more harm she inflicts on her adversaries. Tololo

Unlike other Dolls in the game, she has the unique ability to take two turns at the start of a battle and whenever her Confectance Index is fully charged.

Immediately, she can unleash her most destructive powers against your adversaries, granting an astonishingly fast battle pace. Although she might weaken a bit in the final stages of the game when enemies have higher health, this character is more than capable of leading you to victories in the early and mid-game challenges.

Lotta

Rarity: SR
Class: Sentinel
Damage: Freeze

In simpler terms, Lotta possesses powerful area-of-effect (AoE) attacks, allowing her to fire destructive shotgun blasts at surrounding adversaries. Her passive ability is exceptionally effective when an opponent has the Frostbite debuff, as she retaliates with a follow-up attack that inflicts a massive 50% of her attack power as AoE physical damage.

Her Maximum (Enhanced Bravery) bypasses the damage reduction from concealment and rewards you with an additional action if you manage to strike two or more opponents accurately.

Mosin-Nagant

For any enthusiast of World War II, it’s clear that the Mosin-Nagant resembles a classic Sniper character. Equipped with a long-range rifle, she can take down opponents from afar on the battlefield. Not only does she deal significant damage, but her exceptional abilities also cause a paralysis effect on her adversaries, making them easy targets.

What keeps Mosin-Nagant from being number one is her limited mobility. In fact, if she’s not in the right spot, she can easily become overrun. To make the most of Mosin-Nagant, it’s best to position her at the back of the map, where she’ll be protected by her teammates.

Sabrina

Class: Bulwark
Damage: Hydro

Sabrina excels in a more aggressive playstyle, often charging towards opponents to unleash lethal shotgun bursts. Her abilities primarily focus on area-of-effect Water damage against surrounding foes, making her particularly effective when teamed up with Tololo.

Whenever a unit inflicts Hydro damage on a target, Tololo gains a buff to her crit rate and critical damage by 3%, stacking up to 8 times. When paired with Sabrina’s self-buffs and counterattacks, they make an incredibly powerful duo that can quickly clear the battlefield.

Sharkry

Rarity: SR
Class: Sentinel
Damage: Burn

Among the top characters in the game, Sharkry excels particularly against single targets. Her arsenal of abilities is designed to swiftly obliterate crucial enemies by firing a barrage of potent bullets from her Assault Rifle. What’s more, her passive ability boosts her critical hit rate by an impressive 20% whenever a target is afflicted with the Overburn status. This status can be regularly inflicted on enemies through her active skills.

It’s suggested to play Sharkry with other characters from Burn, such as Tololo, since this increases her chances of activating her damage boost more frequently. Additionally, Sharkry’s Attack Range allows her to strike enemies up to eight tiles away, providing a chance for her to take down distant targets.

Nemesis

Rarity: SR
Class: Sentinel
Damage: Corrosion

In the Sentinel class, Nemesis comes second to Mosin-Nagant, but she’s an excellent alternative for a long-range sniper character. This enigmatic figure can strike targets from as far as nine tiles away and offers an additional advantage with its Defense Down 2 debuff, which decreases a target’s defense by 30%.

In the later stages of the game, when opposing units grow tougher, her capability to cause corrosive damage and decrease enemy defenses makes her exceptionally valuable.

B-Tier characters in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium

Ksenia

Rarity: SR
Class: Support
Damage: Burn

If you didn’t secure Suomi as your Support character in Girls’ Frontline 2, then Ksenia is the next best choice. Her abilities focus on inflicting the Burn debuff on opponents and healing teammates, making her a valuable asset in combat.

Furthermore, Ksenia’s Ultimate and Passive abilities trigger Blazing Assault 2, boosting her attack by 15% for both herself and an ally. Despite these attack enhancements, Ksenia doesn’t possess as much Damage Per Second (DPS) capability as Suomi. As a result, Ksenia might be a better choice when forming a Burn team composition, or if you haven’t acquired Suomi yet.

Ullrid

Rarity: SSR
Class: Vanguard
Damage: Physical

Ulridd exhibits an interesting approach, more akin to carrying a Swiss Army knife in a gun battle. Instead of opting for long-range combat with a rifle, this agile Vanguard character excels in close-quarters, employing a style that’s all about precise slashing and intricate maneuvers, transforming herself into a masterful swordsman.

In a situation that might appear contradictory, Ullrid’s exceptional agility and concealment abilities can prevent her from being defeated in battle. It would be strategic to use your ranged characters to inflict damage first, followed by deploying Ullrid to finish off the surviving enemies.

Groza

Rarity: SR
Class: Bulwark
Damage: Physical

Groza is a typical tank character, offering her teammates defensive bonuses (up to 30%) on their active skills and hindering the movement of enemies by two tiles with hers.

This might not sound like much, but it can be really useful when you need to kite a powerful enemy or simply wish to keep them from hitting your squishy DPS units.

Cheeta

Rarity: SR
Class: Support
Damage: Burn

In a nutshell, Cheeta can be simply defined as a ‘buff-giver’. This supporting character is known for bestowing beneficial effects or advantages (buffs) onto her fellow team members. When triggered, Cheeta’s Ultimate skill randomly applies two buffs to all allies for the next two turns. However, it’s important to note that these buffs are entirely random and may not always be as helpful compared to the other support characters in the game.

Although Cheeta’s passive healing for allied units is quite beneficial, the inconsistency in its effect slightly elevates Cheeta above Colphne.

C-Tier characters in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium

Peritya

Rarity: SSR
Class: Sentinel
Damage: Corrosion

In simpler terms, Peritya is a character from the SSR Sentinel category who carries a Light Machine Gun (LMG). Her abilities are designed to attack her opponents using a mix of physical attacks and Area-of-Effect Corrosive shots.

In the initial stages of play, increased Area of Effect (AoE) damage proves very powerful. However, as the game progresses into mid and late phases, enemies become more resilient to AoE attacks. Instead, concentrated single-target bursts are more efficient at eliminating critical targets before they can launch their destructive assaults.

Nagant

Rarity: SR
Class: Support
Damage: Corrosion

Instead of Mosin-Nagant, Nagant serves as a Support character who inflicts Acid Corrosion damage on her targets using her handgun. When the 30% defense reduction she applies is combined with the additional 10% defense reduction from her Ultimate, it significantly boosts your main DPS’s ability to deal damage.

In essence, Nagant seems outdated due to the limited functionality beyond stunning and defensive debuffs. This becomes more apparent when you consider that numerous other characters already possess these abilities.

Vepley

Rarity: SSR
Class: Vanguard
Damage: AoE Physical damage/Debuffer

Among the unbound Girls’ Frontline characters, Vepley stands out. She operates as a Vanguard, employing her trusty shotgun to push adversaries away.

Among the Vanguard units, Vepley often fails to stand out due to her relatively low damage output and potentially harmful knockback effects. This can create challenging situations for your team as it may become difficult for your allies to reach the target.

Littara

Rarity: SR
Class: Sentinel
Damage: AoE Physical damage/Debuffer

In simpler terms, Littara specializes in firing off bursts with her Light Machine Gun (LMG), applying defensive debuffs and area-of-effect (AoE) damage. On paper, this may seem impressive, but when it comes to overall damage output at max level (834), she falls short compared to other Damage Per Second (DPS) options within the Sentinel class.

Given the circumstances, it’s advisable to primarily employ Littara during the initial stages of the game and consider replacing her with more conventional choices such as Qiongjiu or Tololo later on.

Krolik

Rarity: SR
Class: Vanguard
Damage: Burn

Rabbit, as opposed to Ulrith, may not be the ideal choice for your team unless you specifically require a Vanguard sword user. Although she does bring additional Burn damage, which can be effective in fire-based teams, it’s important to note that her maximum damage (770) pales in comparison to her SSR counterpart’s max damage (921).

Additionally, it’s worth noting that she is softer or more vulnerable compared to Ullrid. This isn’t ideal in a frontline position, especially when engaging the enemy directly.

Colphne

Rarity: SR
Class: Support
Damage: Hydro

In Girls’ Frontline 2, Colphne serves as the fundamental Support character. She embodies the typical role of a healer within the game, contributing primarily to healing her team without offering any additional abilities. Her value is mainly in the early stages of the game when other support options are scarce. However, it’s often more beneficial to deploy DPS and tank units over her, even during these early stages.

As a gamer, I’ve found that while Colphne’s healing abilities can be game-changers in tight situations, other support characters outshine him when it comes to additional damage boosts and versatile utility skills.
