Dream sequences allow Sass to experiment with different styles, stepping away from his usual Lenape clothing, and offer viewers a glimpse into what the Livings are really thinking and feeling. Considering how difficult the ghosts often have communicating, it’s surprising that the team doesn’t use Sass’ ability to enter dreams more often to help them.

In the seventh episode of season 5, Ghosts effectively uses Sass’s powers once more. He enters Bela’s dream to offer comfort, and the scene cleverly highlights how useful and often overlooked this ability has been.
