Ghost Of Yotei’s New Patch Fixes Some “Permanent Mission Blocking” Bugs

Ghost of Tsushima’s open-world samurai experience on PlayStation 5 generally performs well, though it had some problems. Certain issues could previously halt progress in specific missions, but a recent update has fixed many of these random bugs, allowing players to continue battling and pursuing the Yotei Six without interruption.

Sucker Punch Productions released the patch notes for Update 1.010 on their website. This update fixes a couple of rare crashes and replaces some temporary game elements during a key story moment. However, the biggest improvements are numerous gameplay adjustments that make the game even smoother and more enjoyable to play on PS5.

Sometimes, you might get stuck in the game due to very specific actions. For example, starting “The Way of the Kusarigama” mission from a certain location, skipping the armor upgrade scene in “The Tale of the Oni,” or placing a campsite in the wrong spot during “The Kusarigama’s Shame” could block your progress. Not having flash bombs for “Fighting Fire with Fire” or saving during the “Higashi Lumberyard” mission before finishing a fight could also cause problems. These are just a few examples, but it shows how certain choices can halt your story.

We’ve fixed a lot of the unusual and frustrating bugs that were preventing progress. You’re now free to pursue your revenge against Lord Saito and his followers.

Ghost of Yotei, praised with a 9/10 score in a TopMob review calling it ‘superb,’ is now released on PlayStation 5.
