In Zack Snyder’s film “300,” the total earnings surpassed $450 million during its time in theaters. However, as stated by lead actor Gerard Butler, this impressive box office performance didn’t come without hard work and dedication.

In my conversations, I mentioned how astonishing it was that a staggering number of actors sustained injuries during the filming of the 2006 action masterpiece, “300,” where I portrayed King Leonidas. This epic tale chronicled my character leading 300 valiant Spartan soldiers into battle against a formidable Persian army.

Butler recounted, “Every day, someone would end up being rushed to the hospital.” He added, “During a fight, you’d look away for a moment, and there’d be a man with a spear wound in his eye. On another occasion, you’d glance aside, and a person had fallen, fractured their ankle. It was absolutely chaotic.”

Butler stated, “There were days when someone would have to go to the hospital.” He continued, “In the middle of a fight, you’d turn your back for a second, and there’d be a man with a spear in his eye. At another time, you’d look away for a moment, and someone had fallen, broken their ankle. It was just crazy.

During the filming of “300,” Butler managed to avoid any injuries, however, while working on the 2012 surf movie “Chasing Mavericks,” he came very close to drowning. This happened when he was overwhelmed by a massive wave surge.

Butler remarked, ‘I assumed my work was complete.’ They had to transport him to the hospital, sedate him, and use a defibrillator on him. In other words, the situation was quite dramatic.

In the cinemas now, Butler can be seen headlining “Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.” This action-packed movie finds Butler in the role of Big Nick, a tenacious L.A. detective who ventures to Europe in pursuit of Donnie, a globally recognized diamond thief, portrayed by O’Shea Jackson Jr.

Speaking with EbMaster, Jackson expressed his belief that the upcoming sequel could spawn a whole new series within the “Den of Thieves” franchise.

Jackson wasn’t holding back: He’s really putting his all into this project, aiming for the action-packed style of Vin Diesel. As Ryan Reynolds put it, he wants to collaborate with Gerard until he turns 90, because he just enjoys it so much.
