Wildlight Entertainment, the company that created Highguard, has reportedly laid off the majority of its employees. This likely means development on Highguard is ending, a situation many players anticipated after the game first came out.

Fortunately, on January 26th, Highguard was released on PC and consoles as a free-to-play game, making it accessible to everyone.
