Honestly, 2025 was a pretty decent year for gaming, at least for me. I managed to find a few games I really enjoyed, though I don’t go in expecting too much, so I’m not shocked if others aren’t as thrilled. Just a heads up, December doesn’t look like it’s going to be a massive month for big releases – we’re not getting any real blockbusters to finish the year strong. But, that said, there are some cool indie games coming out that are actually keeping things interesting. Lately, the smaller, indie scene has been where all the best surprises are happening.
Sleep Awake

Release date: December 2, 2025
A psychological horror from an unusual duo
You might be familiar with the video game Spec Ops: The Line and the band Nine Inch Nails. Now, two people who worked on those projects have joined forces to create a new psychological horror game called Sleep Awake. Developed by Eyes Out, it promises a truly unique experience. The big question is: will it be a game-changer?
You fall asleep and disappear!
In a city that may be the last one on Earth, people are vanishing in their sleep, causing widespread fear. Residents are desperately trying anything to stay awake, but some are exploiting the panic. You’ll be thrown into this chaotic situation, tasked with uncovering the reason for the disappearances while battling your own personal struggles.
