Game of Thrones has already revealed Dunk’s fate in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Even though the new series ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘ has just started, a character from ‘Game of Thrones’ has already revealed what will happen to Duncan the Tall.

After just one episode of George R.R. Martin’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the show has already laid a lot of groundwork.

Dunk, after burying his mentor and officially becoming Ser Duncan, journeyed to Ashford. There, he tried to enter a tournament, celebrated with Lyonel Baratheon, and took on a young boy named Egg as his squire.

This marks the beginning of his work in television, and if it goes well, could lead to several seasons adapting George R.R. Martin’s ‘Dunk and Egg’ stories. However, those familiar with the Game of Thrones series will likely have an idea of how things will unfold. Warning: Spoilers follow…

Joffrey spoiled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in Game of Thrones

Dunk isn’t a celebrated knight at the beginning of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire,’ but during the fourth season of ‘Game of Thrones,’ Joffrey mentions that Ser Duncan the Tall was remarkably tall.

Joffrey was reading the ‘Book of Brothers’ and found a section about Jaime Lannister, which he then used to try and discredit him.

“Ser Duncan the Tall,” he says, chuckling. “Four pages dedicated to Ser Duncan! He must have been an impressive figure.” Joffrey then remarked that, in contrast, the section about his father, Lord Tywin Lannister, is rather short.

Though short, the scene is telling. The White Book is a historical record detailing the accomplishments of every member of the Kingsguard.

The Kingsuard is a highly respected group of seven knights who are sworn to protect the king or queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Joining this group suggests Dunk will achieve great things in the future.

Aerion Targaryen’s fate has also been revealed

Game of Thrones actually spoiled a major plot point much earlier than many realize. In Season 3, Episode 4, Joffrey accidentally lets slip what happens to Aerion Targaryen, a key villain later in the series.

He pointed to an urn and told Margaery Tyrell, “Those are the remains of Aerion Targaryen, also known as Aerion Brightflame. He believed drinking wildfire would transform him into a dragon, but he was mistaken.”

If he starts drinking while filming Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, dedicated fans will immediately recognize the foreshadowing…
