G-Mode announced that they’re bringing Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner: A’s Test Server to Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam. While a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, you can already find the game’s page on Steam.
A’s Test Server was a mobile version of the Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner series, originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2004 and 2005. This mobile game featured a brand new story and was first offered through a monthly subscription in December 2006. Atlus later released a full version for a one-time purchase in late February 2007, and this new port is based on that complete version.
Below you’ll find the official screenshots and details for the upcoming test server of Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner: A. While the Steam page offers English descriptions, the game itself will initially only be playable in Japanese.

Escape the Tower of Karma.
If you want to survive, transform into a Devil—tear your enemies apart, slaughter them, and devour them!

Learn combat skills freely through the Mantra System.
Equip acquired skills to your characters however you like.
Parts of the dungeon are procedurally generated.
An original story set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Includes an optional 3x EXP boost feature.
First released on Japanese mobile phones; features adapted for modern platforms.
Series Overview
This game is a unique installment in the Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga series. It was originally released only for Japanese flip phones – the types of mobile phones common before smartphones.
Digital Devil Saga centers around the Embryon tribe, who are locked in conflict with five rival tribes within a digital realm known as the Junkyard.
Game Story
The story unfolds in a sealed, colossal tower known as the Tower of Karma.
Serph starts the story having lost all of his memories. He teams up with Sera, a girl with a unique song that can calm a powerful, destructive force known as the Devil, and together they begin a journey to ascend a towering structure.
They’re working together to figure out why they’re stuck and what caused Serph to forget everything.
Gameplay Features
Progress through the game with a party of up to three characters, including the protagonist.
The game uses the same strategic battle system as the original, where how many turns you get depends on the attacks you use.
The Mantra system, used for learning combat skills, has been updated. Instead of choosing between different skill paths, it now lets you combine skills to create unique combinations.
Enjoy character growth and party-building options that differ from the console versions.
The Tower of Karma, which serves as your dungeon, has floors that are partly created randomly – meaning some levels will be different each time you play.
Why are they here? What stole their memories?
Climb higher. Face the trials. Uncover the truth.
Will Serph and his companions make it out of the Tower of Karma alive…?
