G-Mode is slowly bringing the game Stella Deus: Time of Alchemy to new platforms. It’s available now on Nintendo Switch through the Japanese eShop, and will be released on PC via Steam on December 4th.
I was so excited when Time of Alchemy first came out back in 2007 – it was originally made for those old Japanese flip phones! And if you’re a fan of the series like me, you’ll know it continues the story from Stella Deus: The Spirit of Darkness, which is now available on Switch and PC through Steam, too.
Below you’ll find the official trailer, screenshots, and details for the Stella Deus: Time of Alchemy port. While the Steam store page is in English, the game itself will only be playable in Japanese.

The world is burdened with a destiny of destruction.
Cherished friends, precious memories — this is our story.
Stella Deus: Time of Alchemy:
Tactical battles using an Action Point (AP) system.
Effective Zone (EZ) system enables powerful team attacks when allies and enemies are within range.
Unique skills and combo attacks for each character.
Character strengthening with Class Change.
Craft powerful gear through item synthesis.
50 stages of strategic gameplay.
An original scenario set in the Stella Deus world.
Series Overview
This is the mobile app adaptation of Stella Deus, a tactical role-playing game first launched in 2004 for the PlayStation 2.
It first became popular on older Japanese mobile phones – the kind that flipped open and didn’t have all the features of today’s smartphones.
Set after the events of Raven Spirits, this game features an all-new, original scenario.
Don’t worry if you’re new to the series — it’s a fully standalone story anyone can enjoy.
With a hardcore difficulty designed to test even veteran players,
embark on a new adventure across 50 challenging stages.
Game Story
A white mist called Miasma — it reduces all it touches to nothing.
A continent engulfed in its sea, a world burdened with the fate of inevitable ruin.
A religion that embraces the end…
Spirits that are bound to the laws of the world…
And alchemy, born from harnessing their power.
The protagonists continue their journey, seeking a way to heal a dying world.
Game System
Okay, so the game switches back and forth between telling the story and letting you actually play it. Basically, you get cool cutscenes and dialogue to move things forward, then you jump into battles where you have to really think about your strategy. It’s a nice mix – keeps things interesting!
In battle, you’ll use an AP (Action Point) system to choose your actions strategically.
Use each character’s special abilities and strong team attacks to defeat tough enemies!
Tailor your gameplay by learning how to change character classes and create new items, giving you full control over how your characters develop.
Use every advantage at your disposal to conquer all stages!
