Can we change the Instagram notification sound?

It’s unfortunate that at the moment, Instagram doesn’t offer a feature for users to customize their notification sounds inside the application. As a result, you’re bound to the default sound that Instagram provides following the most recent update.

Instead of adjusting the notification sound through your iPhone’s general settings, remember that it will only affect system alerts. Specific app sounds, such as those from Instagram, require separate adjustments within the respective apps themselves.

To put it simply, adjusting the Text Tone under Settings > Sounds & Haptics in iOS lets you change the sound for your text messages, however, this modification doesn’t affect the sounds used by apps like Instagram for Direct Messages or other notifications.

How to mute Instagram notifications
