Forever Entertainment revealed that Front Mission 3: Remake will be available on January 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and GOG). It will first release on Nintendo Switch in June 2025.
A free demo for the game is also now available for all platforms.
Paul described the Nintendo Switch version of Front Mission 3: Remake as an unfinished and underwhelming experience, like a museum piece that wasn’t fully developed. We also highlighted some questionable changes made to the game’s online artwork.

The popular tactical RPG, Front Mission 3, is back with a complete remake! Take on the roles of Kazuki and Ryogo in a story set amidst growing military conflicts. Command giant robots called Wanzers and lead your team through challenging turn-based battles where the future of the region is at stake.
Story
Front Mission 3: Remake is a strategy RPG set in the future, where countries and companies battle for control using giant robots called Wanzers. The story follows Kazuki Takemura, and your choices early in the game lead to two different paths. Both paths uncover a worldwide plot involving hidden weapons, the pursuit of profit by corporations, and extreme national pride.
The story starts when Kazuki and his friend Ryogo accidentally get caught up in a war while making a simple delivery to a military base. Players can then choose to have Kazuki team up with his sister, Alisa, or with Emma Klamsky, an agent looking into a secret weapon called M.I.D.A.S.
Both storylines follow Kazuki and his team as they investigate a hidden truth and try to avoid disaster, all while examining ideas about loyalty, the importance of family, and the moral implications of technology.
