After the death of streamer Jean Pormanove, France has opened a new investigation. This comes after those accused of tormenting him began broadcasting on Twitch, where they are now alleged to be repeating their harmful behavior.
On August 18th, Jean Pormanove, whose real name was Raphaël Graven, passed away in his sleep while livestreaming on Kick. He was 46 years old.
Before he died, the well-known French streamer apparently experienced severe abuse, including physical violence, being kept awake for long periods, and being forced to consume poisonous substances, allegedly by people in his streaming group, ‘Lokal.’
The event caused widespread outrage internationally, with French leaders calling it a national embarrassment. Kick, an Australian-based platform, received a warning from the country’s eSafety Commissioner, facing potential fines of up to $49 million due to Australian online safety regulations.
Following reports of abuse, Kick banned the content creators responsible for a disturbing livestream showing ten days of alleged torture. Although no one has been charged with a crime yet, authorities opened a new investigation when the creators began broadcasting again on Twitch.

France streamers raided for allegedly continuing “violence”
Mediapart reports that two months after Pormanove’s death, Lokal continued streaming on Twitch, but under the name ‘OGK Decoy.’ The stream is run by Gwen Cenazandotti, the brother of Owen ‘Naruto’ Cenazandotti, who has been accused of bullying Pormanove.
People who used to watch on Lokal are now tuning into OGK Decoy, and the content on the new channel is starting to resemble what was previously shown on Lokal.
According to the report, OGK Decoy is getting around Twitch’s rules and continues to broadcast violent and humiliating content.
In one video clip, new group members screamed after the streamers stopped the live video, seemingly to hide what appeared to be mistreatment.

During a session, one of the group’s creators, Marie, reportedly said, “You are really monsters.” It was then claimed that she was physically assaulted, with reports stating she was hit hard enough to knock her glasses off.
Similar to their claims about Lokal, this group dismisses the attacks as mere publicity stunts, comparing them to the kind of reckless behavior seen on the Jackass TV show. However, French authorities disagree and aren’t convinced.
On October 10th, authorities in Nice began investigating OGK Decoy for group violence and sharing images of harmful acts. They searched the organization’s premises and confiscated computer equipment.
According to BFMTV, Twitch has been “studying” the situation, but the channel remains active.
Currently, no one has been charged in connection with this recent case, or with the death of Jean Pormanove. An autopsy revealed no injuries, either on the outside or inside of the body.
During the funeral for Jean Pormanove, his mother surprisingly spoke in defense of those accused of harming him, stating they had actually provided him with a positive life.
“I’m proud of them and I want to thank them for it. I’m not afraid to say it.”
