Aniimo was first revealed at Summer Game Fest earlier this year, and another trailer was shown at Tokyo Game Show.

Another closed beta test will happen in early 2026, and you can register to join on the game’s website.

Kingsglory and Pawprint Studio revealed a new trailer for Aniimo, their free-to-play, open-world creature-collecting RPG, at The Game Awards on Thursday. They also announced a large second closed beta test will happen in early 2026. Players on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile can now register at aniimo.com for a chance to join the beta next year.

Based on feedback from earlier tests, the next beta version will include even more content. A new trailer gives a sneak peek at what’s been added, such as:

  • Discover the new Aniimo creatures! Meet the adorable Fentuft and its evolved form, Fenmane, alongside Momand, who’s entertaining a crowd of Pomeggs. You’ll also encounter a quick-tempered Cubbo, acting as the area boss in this new part of Idyll’s world. Aniimo’s unique Twining ability lets players transform into any Aniimo – including these new ones – and use their powers in imaginative ways to overcome challenges.

  • I’m really excited about this new “Homeland” feature! It looks like Pathfinders and their Aniimo are finally getting a place to really hang out and work together. We’ll be able to build and improve a home base, and apparently, that will actually make things better in the open world too. I love that we can meet up with our Aniimo in our RVs at a campsite – it’s a cute way to socialize! Then, our RV becomes the gateway to the Homeland, which sounds like a fun mix of an amusement park for the Aniimo, and a shared farming space where Pathfinders and Aniimo can grow crops together. It sounds like a great way to build a stronger bond with your Aniimo and make the world feel more alive.

  • In the game mode Operation: Egg Heist, Pathfinders will compete in teams to collect the most eggs while avoiding attacks from wild Aniimo creatures. The Aniimo you choose and their unique abilities will be crucial for winning!

The closed beta is starting soon, and Aniimo is planned to launch worldwide on Xbox, PC, and mobile devices in 2026.
