Free-to-play online steampunk action RPG Crystalfall has launched via Steam Early Access

CRG Studio has announced that Crystalfall is now available for PC via Steam Early Access.

When Crystalfall first launches in early access, players will be able to choose from three different classes and experience the first five acts of the campaign. The game will also include basic player trading features, and you can learn more on the official website. Limited Founder Packs are currently available for purchase.

CRG Studio has released Crystalfall, a free-to-play steampunk action RPG, into Early Access on Steam. Players can now experience the game’s exciting combat, character customization with loot, and challenging late-game content as it continues to develop.

Crystalfall saw a lot of positive attention leading up to its release. During the Steam Next Fest event, it was among the 50 most popular game demos, with over 72,000 people trying it out and more than 120,000 adding it to their Steam wishlists.

Crystalfall is an action RPG set in a world devastated by an asteroid, where survivors use powerful, but unstable, crystal energy to survive. Players take on the role of mutated characters exploring dangerous dungeons, collecting valuable crystal shards, and searching for legendary items. The game focuses on creating unique characters through deep customization and long-term progression, drawing inspiration from classic ARPGs like Path of Exile and Diablo 2, but with modern game design.

Crystalfall is perfect for players who enjoy experimenting with different character builds and continually improving their characters. It features complex, interconnected systems, a large skill tree for overall strategy, and skills that are found as loot and can be further customized. Players can upgrade skills and modify their weapons and armor with special enhancements, allowing for a huge range of build possibilities.

Players can truly customize how they fight in this game, mixing and matching weapons like pistols with shields, or using unique steampunk staffs. They can also discover powerful combinations of equipment, abilities, and passive skills.

The game launched as a free-to-play experience on April 10th, building on its initial foundation with new classes, a longer story campaign, and a first look at what players can expect in the endgame.

Founder packs

I’m so excited! CRG Studio just announced some really cool steampunk Founder Packs for the game, and they’re only available for a limited time. If you want to help support the developers, you can grab one of five tiers – Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Each pack comes with awesome stuff like a special portrait frame, an in-game title, and even a cool weapon effect, plus in-game credits. The higher the tier, the more you get – things like unique portal effects, item skins, and even adorable pets! It’s a great way to show your support and get some exclusive goodies.

Players can further customize their characters with cosmetic items like the Steampunk Diver and Vampiric Armor Packs, plus pets such as the Fishbowl and Gargoyle. Other options include back attachments like wings, backpacks, and tails. You can also purchase special effects for footsteps, flasks, and your character in general.
