Okay, action fans, listen up! Pluto TV is kicking off December with a seriously cool addition to their streaming library. They’ve just added four Transformers movies – the original, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction – and the best part? It’s all totally free! If you’re in the mood for some explosive robot action, Pluto TV has you covered this month.
The first four Transformers movies from Paramount, all directed by Michael Bay, are available to watch. He also directed a fifth film, Transformers: The Last Knight, but that one isn’t on Pluto TV – you can find it streaming on Paramount+ instead.
The 2007 Transformers movie kicked off a hugely successful franchise for Paramount, earning over $5.29 billion worldwide across seven films. The story brought the epic battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons to Earth, all centered around a powerful artifact called the AllSpark, which held the key to saving their home planet, Cybertron. The film starred Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, a teenager who forms an unlikely friendship with Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and the rest of the Autobots.
The first sequel to Transformers, called Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, came out in 2009. The movie features Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots teaming up with their human friends to battle a powerful, ancient enemy from the Decepticons named the Fallen.
Okay, so Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third film in the series, really takes things to another level – literally! This one sends Optimus Prime and the Autobots on a mission to the moon, where they’re racing against Megatron and the Decepticons. The stakes are incredibly high, as both sides are after some seriously powerful tech hidden up there. It’s a pretty wild ride, taking the action out of this world!
In 2014, Transformers: Age of Extinction was released. This installment featured a new cast of human characters, with Mark Wahlberg taking the lead, and also introduced…
Today Is the Day for a Free Transformers Movie Marathon
Pluto TV is now offering a free way for fans to watch several Transformers movies. While not all seven films are available, the streaming service includes Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, making it simpler than ever to enjoy a Transformers movie marathon.
With Transformers: Age of Extinction, Mark Wahlberg stars as the main human character for the first of two films. Plus, who wouldn’t enjoy ending a Transformers viewing with the exciting addition of dinosaurs turned robots?
You can now watch several Transformers movies on Paramount+. This includes Transformers: The Last Knight, which follows Transformers: Age of Extinction, as well as the prequel Bumblebee (from 2018) and its recent sequel, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023).
The future of the Transformers movies is still uncertain. While there’s talk of a potential sequel to Bumblebee, there are also plans for entirely new Transformers films that wouldn’t connect to the original series. Since the release of Bumblebee, Paramount has been carefully considering the best direction for the franchise.
