
Turn 10 Studios has announced it’s stopping development of new content for Forza Motorsport. While the game will still be playable online, the studio won’t be adding any new cars, tracks, features, or even regular bug fixes going forward.
Turn 10 Studios announced that, with the team now concentrating on developing Forza Horizon 6 for 2026, they won’t be adding any new cars, tracks, features, or bug fixes to Forza Motorsport. They will, however, keep the online servers running, host occasional events and competitions, and regularly bring back older Featured Tours and reward cars each month until all content has been re-released.
Forza Motorsport launched in 2023 as a reboot of Microsoft’s racing simulation franchise, intended to be continuously updated and supported for many years. However, after significant layoffs at Turn 10 Studios in July, players observed a decrease in new content releases. While Turn 10 initially stated they had plans for ongoing events into late 2025, those updates largely stopped happening.
The development team is currently prioritizing support for the next installment in the Playground series, Forza Horizon 6, which will be set in Japan. TopMob’s Alessandro Barbosa praised Forza Motorsport as a successful revival of the simulation racing genre, noting it’s more accessible and satisfying than ever before, and awarded it a 9 out of 10 in their review.
