Fortnite is hinting at a surprising partnership with Honkai: Star Rail, a popular sci-fi role-playing game. This could mean several characters from Honkai: Star Rail will be added to Fortnite. Epic Games’ battle royale is known for its huge variety of collaborations, featuring content from TV shows, movies, video games, and musicians. Currently, Fortnite’s Season 1 is centered around South Park, and it also includes characters from The Office and Kizuna Ai. However, it looks like even more exciting additions are coming soon.
Recent leaks suggest that Fortnite has a lot of exciting collaborations planned for the future. Rumors indicate that characters from Ben 10 and Solo Leveling will be added to the game this year, and there’s even early talk of a team-up with Overwatch from Blizzard. However, the next collaboration is a surprising one no one expected.
Fortnite is Teaming Up With Honkai: Star Rail
Epic Games has announced a collaboration between Fortnite and Honkai: Star Rail, sharing a teaser image on social media. The image features a pair of swords, referencing the “trailblazing” concept from Honkai: Star Rail, and strongly suggests that the characters Kafka and Blade will be included. It also hints at the appearance of the Trailblazer. While the collaboration is confirmed, Epic Games hasn’t yet revealed when it will launch or what specific content it will bring to Fortnite.
As Honkai: Star Rail prepares for its largest update of the year, a collaboration with Fortnite is on the way. Version 4.0 of the sci-fi RPG is scheduled to release on February 14th, introducing the fifth world players can explore. HoYoverse has previewed two new playable characters—Sparxie, a new version of Sparkle, and Yao Guang—who will arrive with the Planarcadia update. Additionally, Honkai: Star Rail will be celebrating its third anniversary on April 26th in the coming months.
Fortnite’s Honkai: Star Rail Content Could Point Towards Future HoYoverse Collabs
Although details are scarce about the upcoming Fortnite and Honkai: Star Rail collaboration, it’s sparked a lot of discussion about potential future crossovers. The partnership between Honkai: Star Rail and Fortnite surprised many fans, who didn’t expect the sci-fi RPG to get a Fortnite crossover before HoYoverse’s more popular game, Genshin Impact. Some fans also believe that HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero would be a good fit for a Fortnite collaboration, thanks to its contemporary city environment.
As Fortnite’s current season, Chapter 7 Season 1, nears its end on March 5th, players can expect a collaboration with Honkai: Star Rail. This season has already introduced a new island with lots of exciting locations and landmarks. Recently, Fortnite also added a special game mode inspired by Fall Guys, called Crown Jam, which is available until February 9th. With the Honkai: Star Rail crossover and other additions planned, Fortnite is set to finish its first season of Chapter 7 with a bang in the weeks ahead.
