Fortnite is likely adding characters and themes from the popular TV show, The Office, according to a recent hint from the game’s developers.
Fortnite’s social media channels recently shared a picture of beets with a playful caption: “Build. Beets. Battle Royale.” This is a reference to a famous line from the TV show The Office, which originally said, “Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica.”

There’s talk that Fortnite and The Office might be teaming up! While details are still a mystery, we could see characters and items from The Office available as outfits and accessories in the game.
When is Fortnite’s crossover with The Office happening?
The official social media accounts haven’t announced a release date for The Office in Fortnite. But, if the recent posts are hinting at it, we can probably expect it to happen soon.
As a big fan, I’m always checking the in-game shop! The developers are constantly adding new items, so it’s worth looking regularly over the next few days – you never know what cool stuff might appear!
The Office is a hugely popular comedy, so it makes perfect sense that Fortnite would team up with the show for a special crossover event.
More than ten years have passed since the final episode of The Office aired in May 2013. The show was created by Greg Daniels, and it was based on a British series of the same name by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
The show followed the everyday routines of employees at a paper company branch – Dunder Mifflin – in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Steve Carell played the role of Michael Scott, the manager, for the show’s first seven seasons. Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer were main cast members throughout all nine seasons.
The Office ran for nine seasons, with a total of 201 episodes, originally airing on NBC from March 24, 2005, to May 16, 2013. A spin-off series, The Paper, premiered on September 4, 2025, bringing back Oscar Nunez in his role as Oscar Martinez. Peacock was so confident in the show that it renewed it for a second season before the first season even aired.
