For the first time in the series’ 40-year history, Microsoft’s big brand launches on PlayStation. We learned the release time

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is heading to PlayStation 5 as part of Microsoft’s growing lineup of games. Announced back in September, the game will launch in early December, and we now have the specific release details.

Release hours for MFSF 2024 on PlayStation 5

The launch was divided into two dates, depending on which edition of the game you purchased.

  1. People who bought the Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, or Aviator version during the pre-sale will be able to start playing in less than a week, on December 3rd, at 5:00 am PT.
  2. Owners of the standard edition will launch MFSF 2024 a few days later, on December 8th, at 5:00 am PT.

The game’s FAQ has been updated with details about the PlayStation 5 release. It confirms you won’t need a Microsoft account to play, and cross-play with other platforms won’t be supported. Additionally, any downloadable content you’ve purchased for the Xbox or PC versions won’t work with the PS5 version.

As a big gamer, I’ve been noticing Microsoft really starting to share its awesome games with PlayStation owners lately. We’ve already gotten titles like Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones, and Gears of War on the PS5 over the last year, which was a great surprise! Now, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming to PlayStation, and it looks incredible. Honestly, with Halo: Campaign Evolved planned for release next year, it seems like Microsoft will have given up all its major exclusive titles – it’s a bit bittersweet, but also cool that more people can enjoy these games!
