Jaafar Jackson Looks Just Like Michael Jackson
What really stood out to me in the footage was Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew. I appreciate that the filmmakers chose a realistic approach, similar to Straight Outta Compton. The actor’s resemblance to his uncle is incredibly strong – it’s as impressive as O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s portrayal of Ice Cube. This movie absolutely needed an actor who physically resembled Michael Jackson; a poor casting choice would have been a major problem, especially with how much social media buzz can impact a film before it’s even released.
Is The Scope Of The Movie Too Ambitious?
TopMob viewed early footage of the Michael Jackson biopic at CinemaCon, and a potential issue surfaced that was also present with the film Bohemian Rhapsody. It seems the filmmakers are trying to cover Jackson’s entire life and career in one movie, which, considering his decades of fame, could be a very difficult undertaking.
