First look at Pokemon’s Japan theme park reveals adorable Eevee ride

A massive Pokémon theme park is coming to Japan, and visitors are getting a first look at the designs!

Good news for Pokemon lovers! To celebrate its upcoming 30th anniversary, a Pokemon theme park is coming to Japan. Guests will be able to encounter Pokemon in a landscape that looks just like the forests and towns from the popular video games.

We first heard about PokePark Kanto a few years ago, and after a sneak peek at its design and some initial information, we’re now getting a much clearer picture of the finished park.

Ahead of its February 5, 2026 launch at Yomiuriland Amusement Park, PokePark KANTO has released several new preview images on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

PokePark Kanto attraction in Japan revealed

The photos showed the “Vee Vee Voyage” ride, which is a merry-go-round starring popular Pokémon characters, with Eevee as the main attraction.

The ride also features other forms of Eevee, like Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. To match the Kanto region theme, you can also ride Rapidash and Ponyta, in addition to the Eeveelutions.

You can find the “Vee Vee Voyage” ride in the Sedge Town area of the park. The park is divided into two distinct sections for visitors.

Pokemon Forest is a beautiful, expansive woodland stretching over 1,600 feet. Visitors can explore different landscapes and see Pokemon from Kanto and beyond, but they need to pass a quick fitness check first.

Sedge Town is a lot like the towns you find in the game, offering things like shops, performances, and attractions to enjoy.

Tickets for “Vee Vee Voyage” cost 1,200 yen for anyone 13 years old and older. Children between 3 and 12 years old can ride for 800 yen. Children under five must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Due to high demand, tickets for the park are being distributed through a lottery system.
