Okay, so Euphoria is back tonight, April 12th, with what’s probably going to be its last season. It’s been a while – season two wrapped up way back in 2022 – and the show doesn’t pretend those years didn’t happen. We’re jumping ahead five years, and all our favorites have graduated and are now dealing with the messy realities of being adults. It’s a whole new world for them, and for us as viewers.
Everyone’s life has taken different paths. Nate and Cassie are together and trying to make it work in the suburbs, but their relationship is struggling. Jules is focused on her art, and Lexi is working as an assistant in Hollywood for a busy TV producer, played by Sharon Stone.
Rue, played by Zendaya, isn’t following a typical path as an adult. She’s working to pay off a debt to a drug lord named Laurie (Martha Kelly) by smuggling drugs across the Mexican border. The new season of the show begins with this situation, and HBO has released the opening scene online for viewers to watch.
What Time Does ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Come Out?
Rue’s having an adventure, befriending people in Chihuahua and even driving towards the border wall while listening to Christopher Cross. She gets into a bit of trouble when she attempts to drive over the wall using a ramp she built – surprisingly, people have actually tried this before! Just like in real life, her car gets stuck because she doesn’t have enough speed to make it over. Maybe four-wheel drive would help next time.
Showing her incredible resourcefulness, Rue steps out of a car suspended thirty feet in the air, carefully makes her way down a ramp, and walks into the United States. That’s where the story begins when the third season of Euphoria premieres tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Like the first two seasons, Season 3 of Euphoria will have eight episodes, released weekly on Sundays. While critics haven’t rated Season 3 as highly as the previous seasons, it remains to be seen if this will affect how many people watch it.
