Okay, good news, everyone! It looks like a reunion of the Ocean’s crew is really happening. George Clooney just gave us a super encouraging update on Ocean’s 14. He talked about how talks with the studio are going, and even gave a timeframe for when filming might actually start. Basically, the plan for this heist is starting to come together, and I’m getting seriously excited!
Currently, Clooney is busy promoting his upcoming 2025 film, Jay Kelly. While attending the New York Film Festival – where the movie is being shown – E! News questioned him about a possible continuation of Ocean’s Eleven. He responded with a significant update, stating:
We’ve received approval for the budget from Warner Brothers, and now we’re working on the logistics – mainly figuring out when we can begin. We’re aiming to start filming in around nine to ten months.
Wow! This is a great update! We’ve been hearing bits and pieces for a while now about the fourth Ocean’s movie. But this feels like the most reliable information we’ve gotten about the upcoming film in a long time.

Starting December 5th, you can watch George Clooney’s new film, Jay Kelly, by using your Netflix subscription to stream it.
Having a finalized budget and a clear filming schedule suggests this movie is likely progressing well – that’s fantastic news! It seems like things are really moving forward, and that’s very encouraging. We’re excited to see it come to life!
Just over a year ago, in September 2024, we received an update on the Ocean’s 14 script from Clooney. He mentioned then that they had a script everyone was happy with, calling it “good.” More recently, earlier this year, Brad Pitt described it as “pretty damn tasty.” Prior to that, information was scarce; in fact, Matt Damon said in August 2024 that he hadn’t heard much about the project at all.
Currently, it appears the team is nearing their next big job. Following the news that filming might begin in nine to ten months, Clooney also expressed his excitement about working with his fellow actors again. When directly asked about collaborating with Pitt once more, he excitedly shared his thoughts not just about Pitt, but about the entire cast, stating:
Yes, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon], Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts]. I spent time with Julia last night-we had dinner. We’re all still very close friends, and it would be great to have the opportunity to work together again.
It would be a great time for everyone involved! I’m really hoping for more Ocean’s witty lines and funny, well-done scenes from this amazing cast. I’ve also been wanting to see what this group has been up to. We got Ocean’s 8 in 2018, but it didn’t feel very connected to the first three movies. So, it’s truly been 18 years since we last saw the Ocean’s Eleven crew. I’m especially excited to see how these characters have changed over the past two decades.
When Ocean’s 14 is released, it will have been about 25 years since the original Las Vegas robbery, and I’m confident fans will be eager for a new caper – I definitely am! So, keep an eye out, everyone, because the movie is being developed and is progressing well, and hopefully, it will be in theaters for us all to enjoy before too long.
