Final Fantasy XIV: Seekers Of Eternity Features New Dungeon, Raid, And Much More

In the previous year, enthusiasts of Final Fantasy XIV rejoiced over the launch of Dawntrail, their first significant expansion since 2021. Although another expansion isn’t imminent, there’s exciting new content planned for the game in late March with the introduction of Patch 7.2, titled Seekers of Eternity.

Naoki “Yoshi P” Yoshida, both Producer and Director, outlined the upcoming features during a Japanese livestream. Square Enix has kindly summarized the key points. Here’s what we can expect: new main scenario quests, a dungeon named The Underkeep, a fresh raid called The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier, a trail called Recollection (which can be played on normal or extreme difficulty), and Hells’ Kier, an Unreal Trial that challenges players against one of the Four Lords—Suzaku.

As a cosmic explorer, I set sail on thrilling journeys into the great unknown, venturing out to unexplored star systems in search of valuable resources for my crafting endeavors. But the real adventure begins when I dock at Occult Crescent, an enigmatic island shrouded in mystery. Its residents are tight-lipped about its secrets, and I’ll have to tread carefully if I want to uncover the truth hidden within this mysterious land.

As per GamesRadar reports, Update 7.2 is implementing safeguards to combat a mod that potentially gathers player account details. It seems that players within the game were concerned that this mod might enable stalkers to bother them, even while they use different characters.

2024 saw an apology from Yoshida to gamers over the initial glitches in Dawntrail, while he also highlighted that the smooth launch of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox Series X|S would pave the way for more games to be ported to these consoles. It’s worth mentioning that the mobile version of Final Fantasy XIV is still under development.
