Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now Steam Deck Verified ahead of its launch on PC next week.
The change was made just a short while ago, and the labeling of the game as “Steam Deck Verified” indicates that it operates seamlessly with the default controller setup. This means you’ll see Steam Deck controller icons in the game, the text in the interface is clear on the Steam Deck, and the default graphics settings deliver a smooth performance (as reported by Valve) on the Steam Deck. You can check this out on the game’s Steam page too.
It’s reassuring to see that Square Enix is making efforts to optimize Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for Steam Deck following its PC announcement. However, keep in mind that Steam Deck Verification doesn’t necessarily mean the game will run smoothly; we’ve seen instances where larger releases have faced issues. In case you missed it, check out Square Enix’s latest trailer showcasing the new features coming to the game when it launches on PC. You can find it here.
Pre-ordering for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC is now open, offering a two-game set called the Twin Pack that includes Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade as well. Additionally, there are Digital Deluxe Edition packages available with further details provided below. Check them out!
The long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has finally arrived on PlayStation 5! You can grab your copy starting from January 23, as it will also be available on PC platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store.
