Final Fantasy 7 Remake Gets Ridiculously Easy Mode on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, previously only available on PlayStation, will launch on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2026. The game offers a good challenge thanks to its mix of action-packed, real-time battles and RPG elements. However, players who prefer a more story-focused experience can enable “Streamlined Progression” options for an easier playthrough.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade’s streamlined progression makes the game even more accessible than the original’s classic combat system, which paused the action for menu selections. This new mode provides unlimited MP, HP, Limit Breaks, and ATB during battles, and every attack automatically deals maximum damage – 9,999 points.

This mode also makes your weapon abilities charge quicker, and generally ensures you have a full inventory. You can easily turn it on or off from the main menu whenever you like.

Square Enix announced that players who preorder the digital version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will receive a free download of the original Final Fantasy 7 game, but this offer ends on January 31, 2026. Those who preorder the physical copy will also get a 15-card Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy booster pack.

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will eventually be available on the upcoming Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, though a specific release date hasn’t been set. Producer Tetsuya Nomura also stated that the company has already decided when they will officially announce the third and final game in the remake series.

I’m still waiting for the big release, but thankfully there are some awesome JRPGs coming out soon to keep me busy! I’m really excited about Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, and the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake looks fantastic. Plus, I can’t wait to dive into Octopath Traveler 0 – it’s going to be a great time!
