As a seasoned gamer with years of experience navigating the treacherous waters of the crypto world, I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for Haliey Welch, the Hawk Tuah girl who found herself at the center of yet another crypto storm.
FaZe Banks had a chat with Hawk Tuah and Hailey Welch, expressing concerns over her cryptocurrency, the memecoin $Hawk. He labeled it as potentially misleading or fraudulent.
On December 4, Hawk’s creator, Welch, enthusiastically marked the debut of her unique cryptocurrency token, $Hawk. However, it didn’t take long for regulatory authorities in the sector to pick up on what appeared to be unusual activities, which raised their suspicions.
Remarkably, crypto investigator ‘Coffeezilla’ challenged Welch directly during a discussion on Twitter/X Spaces that very day, labeling $Hawk as “one of the most disappointing and dismal launches I have ever witnessed in my lifetime.
FaZe Banks tells Haliey Welch she’s been “scammed” by $Hawk coin
During the conference call, FaZe co-founder Banks asserted that Welch was tricked by untrustworthy individuals within her team. These individuals might have exploited Welch’s meteoric rise to fame for their own financial gain.
Bank addressed Haliey directly, saying, “Here’s the deal, Haliey: If indeed you possess 10% of the token’s supply, with that portion being locked away for a year and your investment stretching over three years, then you have been swindled more severely than any other participant in this scheme.
As a concerned observer, I can’t help but voice my concerns about this project. It seems to me that it was poorly executed and misdirected from the start. To put it bluntly, I believe it’s a red flag, bordering on a scam. The fact that 97% of the tokens were clustered together among related wallets – friends of friends of friends – is a clear indication of centralization and lack of transparency, which raises serious questions about its legitimacy. Just like Coffeezilla pointed out, this structure smells fishy to me.
Essentially, I mean to say that if the person who influenced your actions, or the one who instructed you to take these steps, or the one who provided the counsel for these actions – you ought to dismiss them promptly.

In a lively tone, Welch replied to Banks, “Absolutely! I’m giving it my all. Thanks, FaZe.
Overnight, Welch’s cryptocurrency token has sparked a significant uproar due to mounting criticisms against it, with Coffeezilla being particularly vocal about its issues. He has publicly accused the team of engaging in “insider trading” and “manipulation,” which has raised concerns among Haliey’s supporters.
As a dedicated follower, it’s not surprising to see internet celebrities like Welch caught up in controversies over promoting cryptocurrencies. Even YouTube sensation-turned-WWE antagonist Logan Paul hasn’t escaped the heat, still grappling with criticism for his CryptoZoo initiative. His legal spat with Coffeezilla, who’s been investigating this project, has only added fuel to the fire.
