‘Haliey Welch, known as ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’, has remained quiet for several weeks following the release of her contentious cryptocurrency; however, an early disclosure of her anticipated return alongside FaZe Banks occurred prior to its originally planned unveiling.’
By December 2024, Welch introduced her personal cryptocurrency token, $HAWK, sparking immediate concerns among industry specialists such as YouTuber Coffeezilla and Faze co-founder Banks.
On the same day, during a passionate discussion on Twitter Spaces, Banks strongly suggested to Welch that he should dismiss his team. He labeled the token as a blatant “fraud,” stating it had been both poorly managed and inappropriately launched with absolute certainty.
Ever since then, there’s been a noticeable absence of posts from Welch across social media platforms, and it seems that the last episode of her podcast was uploaded on December 3, 2024. However, it appears her grand return might have hit a snag before it even took off.
FaZe Banks hits out at Haliey Welch’s team
On February 6, 2025, Banks disclosed through Twitter/X that Welch’s return episode originally planned to have him as a surprise guest. However, his appearance was contingent on specific conditions he had set prior to agreeing to appear on the program.
“Preventing market manipulation by revealing this episode prematurely, before a resolution could be reached,” was among them. Similarly, “determining the appropriate destination for her earnings, as well as planning the future of the $HAWK project,” were also concerns.
Nevertheless, the episode was prematurely released, bearing the title ‘My Crypto Failure.’ Although it’s no longer airing, snapshots of the thumbnail circulated, reaching Banks who publicly commented on the matter and suggested that Welch dismiss his team.
As reported by Banks, the team responsible for $HAWK allegedly shared or gained an unfair advantage by disclosing the token, a suspicion that arose when the coin experienced a surge in trading volume simultaneously with vague messages asking if a podcast recording had taken place.
Banks stated, “Their team wasn’t as strong as they had suggested. They made a big mistake, and we immediately ended the game.
Today, unexpectedly, the episode surfaces. Despite their repeated mistakes, the price of $HAWK is skyrocketing, showcasing yet another instance of mismanagement. What an unfortunate state of affairs. It’s puzzling to think about how she wound up in this predicament initially.
