Fans Believe This Could Be A Blurry Look At The Switch 2

As a seasoned Nintendo enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement at every hint, leak, or rumor that surfaces about the long-awaited Switch 2. The latest buzz surrounding Satisfye’s ZenGrip 2 peripheral has me on the edge of my seat.

As there’s no formal info available yet about Nintendo’s upcoming console (let’s call it the Switch 2 for convenience), fans are eagerly holding onto any bits of potential updates. Another tantalizing tidbit has surfaced recently.

According to GamesRadar’s report, a company known as Satisfye appears to have released and subsequently removed a trailer for the ZenGrip 2. The video hinted at what could potentially be the upcoming Switch 2 model, equipped with the accessory. Similar to previous leaks, this latest one seems to indicate that the Switch 2 might maintain a design and form factor similar to its predecessor.

Unintentionally, Satisfye revealed a sneak peek of their upcoming product, the Zengrip 2, by mistake within a trailer designed for the Nintendo Next Gen Console. However, instead of showcasing the Zengrip 2, they accidentally displayed the Nintendo Switch 2, albeit slightly blurred, providing us with our first clear glimpse at the supposed Nintendo Switch 2 model.

Despite the trailer being unavailable now, Satisfye released promotional content on December 6, hinting at a new-generation console with their ZenGrip 2. The marketing collateral also showed an image of ZenGrip 2 and labeled it as a “top secret” device it would be associated with.

According to Satisfye, they offer an ergonomic hand placement and a superior gaming experience tailored for the upcoming generation of Nintendo Switch consoles. The accessory is available for pre-order now, with prices starting at $50, and shipments expected to begin in Spring 2025. However, it’s important to note that this doesn’t guarantee the release of the Switch 2 by then. This isn’t the first or only product claiming to be a Switch 2 accessory on sale, but there are valid reasons to approach such announcements with skepticism at present.

For the latest Satisfye product, the product description indicates that this is the anticipated layout, and the design will be adjusted according to financial requirements. Interestingly, the Satisfye online store does not explicitly mention Nintendo, but it seems quite evident that’s what they’re referring to. A miniature image on their site showcases a Switch-like design with an annotation saying “Designed for Next Generation Console.

By the close of March 2025, it’s expected that we’ll see the formal unveiling of the Nintendo Switch 2, as this marks the conclusion of their ongoing fiscal year.

Although the specifications of The Switch 2 are yet to be finalized, a Digital Foundry report hints at the use of a custom Nvidia T239 processor within the device. Nintendo has confirmed that its successor will support backward compatibility with existing games. The Nintendo Switch Online service is also expected to continue on the new system. At least one game has already been unveiled for the upcoming console.
