Red Dead Redemption 2 is generally a serious game, but a recent mod has added a hilarious twist. Now, players can experience the game like Super Monkey Ball, controlling Arthur Morgan inside the rolling ball – bringing a lot of unexpected chaos and fun.
YouTuber Blurbs received a lot of requests to feature a Super Monkey Ball mod for Red Dead Redemption 2. To make it work, he had to figure out how to turn Arthur Morgan into a ball, add controls that mimicked a gyroscope, and include collectible bananas. The final, impressive detail was allowing the rolling Arthur to leave a trail of destruction.
I rebuilt the Super Monkey Ball game within Red Dead Redemption 2. I took suggestions from popular streamers for this mod, so if you don’t like it, they’re the ones to talk to!

Blurbs didn’t just make one change to the video; they completed several unusual requests. These included creating a bizarre creature—a horse with a gun attached to its head—and a weapon that transforms characters into horses. They also added birds that attack with explosive droppings. Finally, Blurbs combined all of these modifications, causing Arthur to randomly switch into a ‘Super Monkey Ball’ style rolling mode at the worst possible moments.
There’s talk that Rockstar Games might be creating updated versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for newer gaming systems. However, right now, the original Red Dead Redemption is being updated for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the new Nintendo Switch 2. If you already own Red Dead Redemption on PS4, Xbox One, or the original Switch, you’ll receive this update at no cost.
