Who is Doey the Doughman in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4?

In simpler terms, “Doey the Doughman” is an extraordinary being with a distinct identity. He has the ability to transform his shape at will. Interestingly, he was brought to life by three unique children, each with their own individual traits. These characteristics are reflected in Doey’s numerous personas. However, this blend of personalities poses a significant risk.

Experiment 1322C

Matthew Hallard, also known as Experiment 1322C, was an orphan raised at the Playcare facility. He was the first boy to be transformed into Doey. As suggested in the game’s report, he was affectionately referred to as a “dream child” due to his gentle and captivating nature. Despite his challenging past, he cultivated a powerful sense of duty towards others. This unique blend of qualities positioned him ideally for leadership roles.

Experiment 1322B

In the context of our characters, Experiment 1322B represents the hostile aspect of Doey the Doughman. When he assumes command, the entity becomes notably dangerous. He went as far as to murder Experiment 1322A’s parents, a drastic action driven by his suspicion that they intended to deceive him on behalf of Playtime CO.

Experiment 1322A

Jack Ayers, also known as Experiment 1322A, was a kid who went to Playtime Factory along with his parents. During their outing, Jack wandered off and accidentally slipped into a massive mixer filled with an unknown substance. This story can be found in the Doey the Doughman Commercial VHS tape.

Following this incident, Jack joins Project 1322, being one of the three kids who fused into Doughman, Doey. Among them, he is the most innocent. His compassion serves as the emotional core for Experiment 1322.

Doey the Doughman’s fate in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4

In most instances, Experiment 1322 tends to be amicable with others. All his components work harmoniously and soothe each other when necessary. This experiment is generally a positive figure throughout his existence. Notably, he established Safe Haven as a refuge for other Experiments from potential threats like Prototype.

During Chapter 4 of Poppy Playtime, we make a visit to Safe Haven. For much of the chapter, Doey the Doughman acts as an ally. However, towards the end of the story, his sanctuary is demolished, causing a resurgence of trauma in all the children. Overwhelmed by weakness and despair, Doey turns against the protagonist. In the final showdown, he transforms into one of the bosses that you must vanquish. This unexpected twist is unfortunate for a creature as noble and gentle as Doey, given the circumstances.
