Next month, in April, keep an eye out for the streaming debuts of Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet, and Dust Bunny created by Bryan Fuller. For those interested in extreme sports, there’s also a new four-part documentary series called The Dark Wizard, which profiles Dean Potter, a well-known and often debated climber.

Okay, so here’s what I’ve been watching lately, or at least have on my list! It’s a pretty mixed bag, honestly. I’ve got everything from the action-packed AVP: Alien vs. Predator and the Mortal Kombat Legends series – I’m a sucker for a good fight! – to classics like Out of the Past and The Devil Wears Prada. I’ve been diving into some older Westerns too, like Tall in the Saddle and Santa Fe Trail. There’s a bit of everything here, including the Deeply seasons, a few random titles like The Boy and the Beast and Inu-Oh, and even some home renovation with Renovation Aloha. It’s a pretty eclectic collection, but hey, that’s me! I’ve also checked out Practical Magic, The Hole in the Ground and a bunch of films set in places like Fort Worth and San Antonio. Honestly, it’s a little all over the place, but I’m always looking for something new to watch!

This is a list of film and television titles, including The Mummy (1999), its sequel The Mummy Returns, and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. It also features several Westerns like The Naked Spur, The Oklahoman, The St. Louis Kid, They Died with Their Boots On, Thunder Over the Plains, Wagons West, and Westward the Women, along with Twister and Wichita. The 16 TV Shows We’re Looking Forward to in 2026

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (HBO)
Even though Game of Thrones finished a while back, the world of Westeros is far from over! We’re finally starting to see some spinoffs really take off. Besides the upcoming third season of House of the Dragon – which I’m eagerly awaiting – there’s another prequel on the way called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It’s based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg, and I’m excited to see Peter Claffey as the knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk), and Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire, Prince Aegon Targaryen (Egg). This new series is set about a hundred years before Game of Thrones, and right after the events of House of the Dragon, so all you ASOIAF fans will need to update your timelines!

Cape Fear (Apple TV)
Fans of thrilling dramas will be excited about Apple TV+’s new series, a modern take on the story of Cape Fear. The show centers around a man recently released from prison who is determined to get revenge on the lawyer who helped convict him. While not a remake of the original book or films, it borrows ideas from all three. The series stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson, and is created by Nick Antosca, known for his work on shows like Channel Zero, Hannibal, and the Netflix miniseries Brand New Cherry Flavor.

Carrie (Prime Video)
It seems like every generation gets its own version of Carrie. Stephen King’s classic novel has already been turned into four movies and a musical, but now it’s finally coming to television. The new miniseries on Prime Video stars Summer H. Howell as Carrie White, a high school student with telekinetic powers who gets revenge on those who bully her—expect a dramatic scene involving a lot of pig’s blood! Horror expert Mike Flanagan, known for his previous King adaptations like Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game, and The Life of Chuck, is overseeing this latest take.

Crystal Lake (Peacock)
The highly anticipated prequel series Crystal Lake, which explores the origins of the Friday the 13th horror franchise, is finally arriving on Peacock, brought to you by A24. Originally developed by Bryan Fuller (known for Hannibal), Fuller was let go after the 2023 Writers Guild strike as A24 decided to pursue a different creative path for the show. Now, with Bradley Caleb Kane – a writer and producer on last year’s popular IT: Welcome to Derry – as the new showrunner, we’ll soon see where the story goes.

East of Eden (Netflix)
Following the success of shows like Bridgerton, which proved audiences enjoy adaptations of classic books, Netflix is planning several new miniseries based on famous novels this year. While an adaptation of Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence is expected later in the year, the streaming service’s take on John Steinbeck’s East of Eden, set in California, is generating even more buzz. Written and produced by Zoe Kazan, the series boasts a stellar cast including Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Tracy Letts, and Ciaran Hinds – and likely many other talented actors. It’s definitely a show we’ll be watching!

Euphoria Season 3 (HBO)
Many fans wondered if it would ever return, but Sam Levinson’s hit show, Euphoria, is coming back for a third – and probably final – season this spring. The main cast, including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Eric Dane, are all reprising their roles. The new season jumps ahead five years, showing what happened after the characters finished high school. We’ll find Rue struggling with debt in a dangerous situation, Cassie and Nate are married, and Jules is pursuing her art in school.

Industry Season 4 (HBO)
The financial drama Industry returns this year with a new season! Following the intense events of Season 3, where careers and relationships crumbled, the ambitious young professionals are back and more cunning than ever, continuing to navigate the cutthroat world of high finance. Harper (Myha’la) now leads a firm specializing in short selling and is focused on dismantling a new payment processor trying to become a legitimate bank. Meanwhile, Yasmin (Marisa Abela) is experiencing the complexities of wealth and marriage after tying the knot with Henry Muck (Kit Harington), and their former boss, Eric (Ken Leung), is enjoying retirement – though that might not last long.

Lanterns (HBO)
This year, the new DC Universe is growing with the release of Lanterns, a major Green Lantern adaptation—the first since the 2011 movie. The series stars Kyle Chandler as the experienced Lantern Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as new recruit John Stewart, who team up to investigate a mysterious murder in Nebraska. Kelly Macdonald joins the cast as a local sheriff, and Nathan Fillion returns as Green Lantern Guy Gardner. The show was created by Chris Mundy, comic writer Tom King, and writers Damon Lindelof, known for Lost and Watchmen.

Neuromancer (Apple TV)
Apple TV is adding another potentially excellent sci-fi series to its lineup with an adaptation of William Gibson’s groundbreaking 1984 novel, Neuromancer, which helped popularize the cyberpunk genre. Callum Turner plays Case, a small-time criminal who’s lost his ability to connect to virtual reality. He gets a dangerous offer: restore his connection, and he’ll complete a hacking job for a mysterious ex-military figure. Soon, he’s caught in a deadly situation where survival depends on seeing the job through.

The Pitt Season 2 (HBO Max)
The popular medical drama is returning for a second season, continuing its fast-paced, high-stress format. Noah Wyle reprises his role as Dr. Robby, and this season is set on the Fourth of July – which promises plenty of intense injuries! Each episode will again unfold in real-time over one hour in the emergency room of a Pittsburgh hospital, following the doctors – both new and experienced – as they treat a wide range of traumatic cases and grapple with their own personal lives.

Pride and Prejudice (Netflix)
Fans of both Netflix and classic novels are in for a treat this year! The streaming service is creating a miniseries based on Jane Austen’s beloved Pride and Prejudice. Considering how well other historical dramas have performed on Netflix, this adaptation is long overdue. Emma Corrin will play Elizabeth Bennet, with Jack Lowden as the complex Mr. Darcy. The cast also includes notable actors like Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Fiona Shaw, and Louis Partridge.

Spider-Noir (Prime Video)
Nicolas Cage is reprising his popular role as Spider-Man Noir, but this time in a live-action TV series. Following the success of his appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the show is set in a 1930s New York City and centers on Ben Reilly, an older private investigator who also happens to be a superhero. He’ll be investigating crimes while confronting a troubled past. Filmed entirely in black and white, Spider-Noir aims to capture the feel of classic film noir. It’s looking to be one of the most distinctive superhero shows of the year.

Star City (Apple TV)
Fans of Apple TV+’s acclaimed sci-fi series For All Mankind, which imagines an alternate history of the Space Race, have another show to look forward to: Star City. Also created by Ronald D. Moore, this spinoff will be set in the Soviet Union’s cosmonaut training center and will explore the Soviet side of space exploration in greater detail. While details are still limited, the cast includes Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis.

Ted Lasso Season 4 (Apple TV)
The popular Apple TV+ comedy-drama Ted Lasso will return for one last season, even though the show wrapped up its main football storyline in Season 3. The announcement came at the start of 2025, and most of the original cast – including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Swift – are expected to reprise their roles. While details about the plot are still under wraps, fans can likely anticipate more football action, lighthearted humor, and touching character development.

The Terror: Devil in Silver (AMC)
Fans of scary TV are in for a treat! A new season of The Terror, this time titled Devil in Silver, is coming to AMC this year. The story, based on Victor LaValle’s novel of the same name, follows a man mistakenly sent to a mental asylum who’s convinced the Devil himself is walking its corridors. The series will feature a talented cast including Dan Stevens, Judith Light, CCH Pounder, Stephen Root, and Aasif Mandvi.

The Testaments (Hulu)
Just when viewers thought they were done with the world of Gilead, Hulu is continuing the story with The Testaments, a new series based on Margaret Atwood’s 2019 sequel novel. Set five years after the end of The Handmaid’s Tale, the show will focus on a new generation of women who have no memory of the past and are now facing the realities of life under Gilead’s rule. Ann Dowd will return as the formidable Aunt Lydia, and Chase Infiniti will star as Agnes Mackenzie, the daughter of June from the original series.
