Every New & Returning Actor In The Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Cast

The third installment in the Now You See Me series, the movie reunites the original Four Horsemen with three new magician recruits. Their mission? To take down a dishonest diamond tycoon. The film features the returning stars from the first movie, as well as a familiar face who joined the team in the second one.

In addition to the familiar faces, two more prominent actors returned, though one only appeared briefly at the end of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. We were also introduced to the story’s new villain and her key accomplices, because the Now You See Me team always needs a strong opponent to challenge them with their elaborate schemes.

Jesse Eisenberg As J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas

Danny is the boastful and self-appointed leader of the Four Horsemen. He’s the one who contacts a new group of illusionists using their team’s name, explaining that a mysterious figure known as ‘the Eye’ wants them all to collaborate on a heist targeting a diamond company in South Africa.

Jesse Eisenberg is back as Danny in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and he’s been busy with other projects too. He’s been nominated for an Academy Award twice – once for his role in The Social Network, and again for A Real Pain, which he not only acted in but also wrote and directed.

Woody Harrelson As Merritt McKinney

Merritt McKinney is the oldest member of the Horsemen, a group known for their skills in mentalism and hypnosis. At the start of the story, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, he’s struggling with thoughts of suicide. This is because the Horsemen have fallen apart, and he feels responsible for a friend being sent to prison.

Woody Harrelson is the most seasoned actor among the Horsemen. He began his career in the 1980s, gaining recognition on the TV show Cheers. Since then, he’s starred in many popular films, including White Men Can’t Jump, Natural Born Killers, Zombieland, and the Hunger Games movies.

Dave Franco As Jack Wilder

I’m a huge fan of Jack Wilder! He’s the youngest of the Horsemen, and seriously amazing with cards – like, total sleight-of-hand master. It’s a little sad to learn that after the team split up, he ended up doing magic on cruise ships, and he still seems to be hung up on Lula May. I really hope they get back together, or at least reconnect!

Dave Franco reprised his role as the youngest member of the Horsemen in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. He’s been steadily working in the film industry, both as an actor and a director. He appeared in his brother’s film, The Disaster Artist, and later directed The Rental, which starred his wife, Alison Brie.

Isla Fisher As Henley Reeves

Henley Reeves was the escape artist for the original Horsemen group in the movie Now You See Me, but she wasn’t involved in the second film. She returns in this story, explaining she left to focus on raising her child, but also that she missed the excitement and challenges of pulling off the Horsemen’s elaborate schemes.

I was so glad to see Isla Fisher back in the Now You See Me universe with Now You Don’t – she really brought something special to the first film, and it was clear why everyone loved her character. Before that, I remember she totally charmed us in comedies like Wedding Crashers and Definitely, Maybe. It’s been great seeing her work, though mostly on TV and doing voice work since 2021.

Lizzy Caplan As Lula May

Lula May is an escape artist who joined the team in Now You See Me 2 after Henley. Although she wasn’t originally needed for the latest con, she decided to help out as a fifth Horseman once she found out what was happening, even with Henley already back. Adding to the complexity, Lula also has lingering feelings and unresolved issues with her former boyfriend, Jack Wilder.

Lizzy Caplan stepped into the role previously held by Isla Fisher for the second Now You Can See Me film, and both actresses appeared in the movie. Caplan first gained recognition for her work on the TV show Masters of Sex and has since starred in several popular films, including Mean Girls, Cloverfield, 127 Hours, Hot Tub Time Machine, and The Interview.

Morgan Freeman As Thaddeus Bradley

In the first Now You See Me movie, Thaddeus Bradley pretended to be a magician who exposed the tricks of others. But this was a false front – he was actually the former leader of the Eye, the secret society behind the Horsemen’s performances. Despite being retired, he comes back to assist the Horsemen with their work.

Morgan Freeman is the most seasoned actor in the film, initially appearing as a villain before becoming a key ally. A five-time Academy Award nominee, he won an Oscar in 2005 for his role in Million Dollar Baby. Freeman is widely adored, and his distinctive voice has become iconic – so much so that he’s often referred to as ‘the voice of God’ in movies.

Justice Smith As Charlie

Charlie is a key new character, leading a group of young magicians dedicated to fighting back against dishonest business leaders and those who exploit others. He’s the strategist of the team, responsible for planning and executing all their elaborate schemes and illusions.

Justice Smith is a rising star, especially known for his role in the Now You See Me series where he’s become a key member of the new group of magicians. He first gained wide recognition with parts in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Detective Pikachu. But many believe his strongest performance yet is in I Saw the TV Glow.

Dominic Sessa As Bosco Leroy

Bosco Leroy is the most unlikeable of the three new magicians. He’s a young, arrogant con artist who often clashes with Danny, creating a volatile dynamic. Despite his tough exterior, Bosco is ultimately loyal to his friends and a helpful member of the team.

Dominic Sessa is the newest and least experienced member of the cast in the latest Now You See Me film. Before this, his biggest role was in the 2023 Alexander Payne movie The Holdovers, where he played a young character and won a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for his performance.

Ariana Greenblatt As June

June is incredibly versatile, possessing a wide range of skills. She’s a top-tier fighter, potentially the best in her group or even among the Horsemen. A talented gymnast and acrobat, she can effortlessly climb buildings and move stealthily during combat, making her difficult to catch. She’s also nearly as good as Jack at picking locks and solving puzzles.

Ariana Greenblatt stood out as the most promising new addition to the cast of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, captivating audiences with both her athletic ability and acting skills. Before this role, she appeared in several projects, including A Bad Mom’s Christmas, Avengers: Infinity War, Barbie, and the series Ahsoka.

Rosamund Pike As Veronika Vanderberg

Veronika Vanderberg is the latest villain the Horsemen – and their allies – must face. She’s continuing her father’s criminal legacy of laundering money – originally for Nazis, and now for various criminals – through the family’s diamond business. When she publicly displays the Heart Diamond, the magicians join forces to stop her and bring her to justice.

Rosamund Pike is the newest villain in the Now You See Me movies. She first became well-known as a Bond Girl in Die Another Day, and later starred in critically acclaimed films like Pride & Prejudice and Gone Girl. More recently, she’s been leading the The Wheel of Time television series.

Thabang Molaba As Lethabo Khoza

Although Lethabo Khoza doesn’t have a large role in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, his character is significant. He acts as Veronika’s main assistant and enforcer, dedicated to stopping the Horsemen and their schemes through any forceful means.

For American audiences, Thabang Molaba was the least known actor in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. It was his first film role, and prior to that, he’d only acted in South African TV shows, with Blood & Water – a show popular on Netflix – being his most prominent credit.

Mark Ruffalo As Dylan Rhodes

Dylan Rhodes led the Four Horsemen, but he didn’t appear in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t until a brief preview for the next film. A late plot twist regarding Charlie prevented him from being directly involved, but he contacted the new members through a recorded message, officially welcoming them to the group.

Mark Ruffalo had a brief appearance in the movie’s end credits, but he’s still a key part of the series going forward. While many know him as the Hulk in Marvel films, he’s also a highly respected actor with four Academy Award nominations, most recently for his role in Poor Things in 2023.
